Desk Essentials #1: Nougat London Nurturing Hand Cream

Nougat London Fig & Pink Cedar Nurturing Hand Cream

Working in a cold office eight hours a day, five times a week calls for some serious desk pampering! An absolute essential to have on my desk at the minute is hand cream as those pesky dry patches are tragically becoming a more regular appearance. My pick? Nougat London's Nurturing Hand Cream.

Having got this in my July Birchbox, I stupidly threw it in my 'to try' pile, by which I mean to try in months to come when I can find it again. However, after an amazing weeks holiday in Lanzarote and the blues that ensued as I returned to work my hands were not in the best condition. Searching through my long last stash, I rediscovered this handsaver.

A luxuriously rich texture, this hand cream is enriched with cocoa butter, almond and macademia oils (that's some seriously smoothing properties going on!) to aid in softening, smoothing and protecting your hands and nails. A little definitely goes a long way with this product, and this tiny sample size has lasted me a week so far! It doesn't leave a greasy film like so many others do, which gives it a huge thumbs up from me... Who wants greasy hands when they're trying to type all day!? And the scent... Oh boy. It is truly beautiful. Light and fresh, yet strong and almost empowering, the gorgeous fig and pink cedar scent lingers hours after application.

A gorgeous, non-greasy, thick and beautifully scented hand cream? What's not to love!? I'll definitely be purchasing this when this cutie runs out!

What are your desk heroes? Have you tried any of the Nougat London hand creams?

Mini MUA Haul!

Another month, another hard time trying to not spend anything and save up for my holiday... Once again, I failed, and I blame it all on MUA! It was Tuesday evening, and I was just casually checking my Facebook when all of a sudden I came across this post. I popped right on over to the website and just couldn't resist hitting the 'add to cart' button, I had to have it! Whilst I was on their page I noticed that they have recently joined up with another brand you can find in Superdrug, Fashionista. This was great news, and I couldn't resist picking up a little something from their range too.

The first thing to catch my eye was this amazing palette, containing a whopping 28 eyeshadows (ranging from pearl, matte and high shimmer finishes), a bronzer, a blusher and a highlighter as well as several little applicators to boot! I've not tried any of these out yet but cannot wait to get my hands (or rather my brushes) on them!

Anyone who knows anything about me will know I'm a complete lipstick fanatic, and despite picking one up only the other day I just couldn't contain myself and this appeared too! The Fashionista Double Take lipsticks boast a luxuriously creamy texture, leaving a super pigmented 'modern matte' finish. I popped this on as soon as I was done taking pictures of it and so far so good. It lives up to it's creamy formula and is still going strong a few hours later. The shade I chose, Ultra Pink, is a gorgeous hot pink - perfect for Summer!

Delivery wise, I didn't expect anything too spectacular. The site said that products are usually dispatched within 5 days of ordering and can be expected to be delivered a few days after that, but boy oh boy was I surprised! After making the order Tuesday night, I received and email saying they had been dispatched yesterday and they arrived with my postman today! Absolutely fantastic!

All in all, I can't wait to try these out. Both products can be bought from http://www.muastore.co.uk. The BNTM palette was £7.00 on an introductory offer (usual price £12.00) and the lipstick was an incredible £3.00!

Let me know if you'd like to see any of these products reviewed, I'm sure if I love them as much as I hope reviews should come within the next couple of weeks anyway!

Have you tried any MUA or Fashionista products? What did you think of them? Will you be picking up the BNTM palette?

Weekend Wishlist #4: Boohoo Special

Long time no see! I think it's safe to say I have well and truly neglected my blog this month, but hopefully I'll be getting into the swing of things again starting today. I'm gonna try and get a few posts up this week to get things up and running again! It's been a busy few weeks since I last posted, I won't go into detail here but if you want to know what I've been up to then let me know and that could be a whole other post!

Anyway, another weekend, another wishlist. This week I am seriously loving Boohoo, and have been stalking their new in section non-stop bookmarking all sorts to buy when I finally get some money in my hands. Here are my top picks!

1. I've been lusting after the Crown & Glory floral headbands for ages now, but have never been too sure whether one would suit me. This cute dupe is a fraction of the price and would be super sweet for summer, and if it doesn't suit me then it's only £6.00!

2. Anyone who knows me will know I've had a love affair with anchors for years. There's just something about them I've always loved, and these cute studs are no exception.

3. It's a striped pinafore... Need I say more?! Dungaree and pinafore styles are HUGE right now, as is monochrome so this dress ticks all the boxes. I'm loving both of these trends right now, so this is very me. Come payday this will be mine!

4. I'm really loving the Bardot style off the shoulder look at the moment too. There's just something about it which is super sexy but classic and timeless, especially in this gorgeous vibrant red. I'd wear this with high waisted skirts or with this striped pinafore dress to hide that wobbly stomach and to define my waist.

5. Oh my.. these shoes.. I have no words. I'm not usually one for heels. At 5'8 I usually end up around 6ft with heels (giant anyone?) and I'll admit I'm not the best at walking in them, but there's just something about these. The chunky platform heel makes them look way comfier to walk in than most (keep telling yourself that Rachel!) and the whole chunky style in general would toughen up the girliest of dresses. A must.

So, I'm back and rambling with a vengeance. I think this break has fried my brain! Are you loving Boohoo as much as me recently? What's on your wishlist?

Haul #1

Let me set the scene... It was Bank Holiday Monday, the sun was out and I was super stressed about my final exam of the year that was going to take place the next day. I didn't intend on spending much, just wanted to maybe get a few little pick-me-ups but yeah... this happened!

First stop was The Trafford Centre, Papa Hart wanted to spend some of his birthday vouchers so being the kind and lovely daughter I am I may have offered to go along! I knew I wanted to have a look at Origins when I was there, their counter in Debenhams is brilliant, and my skin has been playing up a lot recently so I wanted to see what might be able to make it all better again! After being badgered by the sales assistant for ages, I gave in and let her help me out. She pulled out about six or seven products that would be suited to my pesky combination skin, and this is what I came out with half an hour later! Not only that, but because I spent an absurd amount, I got the eye cream free as well as a complimentary tote bag and goody bag with three sample sized products! So far so good, I'm loving using all of these.

You may recognise these babies from this wishlist. I popped into Zara on my travels, and despite initially being a little bummed when I couldn't find these in coral, I just had to get these when I spotted them. They're such a gorgeous colour and I can't wait to wear them throughout summer.

After a successful trip for me, but a not so successful one for my Dad, we went to our local retail park for a quick look around. I told myself not to buy anything, but it just didn't work! I ended up spending a fortune in Boots... I've been wanting to pick up these Revlon cream blushes for ages now, and after reading all about the Expert Face Brush and how amazing it is at applying them I just had to pick that up too.

You know how much of a nail polish junkie I am by now, and these two just couldn't be left in the shop. I've also been wanting a couple of new products to try out for my unruly brows. I've been using the angled brush alongside my Gosh brow palette, and the Soap & Glory Archery tint and pencil is amazing.

After being faithful to my Garnier BB cream for a long time now, despite it being a touch too dark for my skin tone, I decided to give Revlon's latest release a go. So far I'm really liking it, it's not particularly great for coverage but the shade 010 light it suitably pale for my pasty skin.

I've not got a particularly great picture for it, but I also picked up this gorgeous white lace dress from River Island which was reduced from about £40 to just £25! Bargain, no?

It's safe to say I won't be spending for a while, but I'm super happy with what I got. If you'd like to see any reviews of anything I bought, just let me know! What are your latest purchases?

Weekend Wishlist #3

1. Tee 2. Skirt 3. Cardigan 4. Boots 5. Lipstick

The last few weeks have been super busy, and super exhausting. With exams all go go go I've been getting less and less sleep and the anxiety has been creeping up on me.. but, I've only got one to go, and a couple of weeks later I'll be popping up off to Edinburgh to house and cat sit for my lovely auntie! It'll be so so good to get away for a while, to get some time to myself and finally start to relax! So, for this week's wishlist I thought it'd be fun to get together a few items I'd love to be able to take with me and wear the hell out of!

1. Acid wash/burned out tees are definitely in right now, and so so me. I can imagine myself wearing this River Island tee with all sorts... jeans, skirts, shorts.. the list is endless! I love tshirts, super comfy, yet they can be super stylish! I thought this would look cute with the next item, to toughen it up slightly. I'm all about mixing and matching.

2. How gorgeous is this skirt from New Look? I'm a big fan of skater skirts as they skim over my hips and nip me in at my waist, and they are so versatile. I'm not usually a pinky person, especially this shade, but it's just too pretty! Like I said before, I can see myself teaming this up with tees like this one to toughen up the look and make it a little less girly. It'd be perfect for summer.

3. I've always had a thing for cardigans, and constantly find myself wearing one to cover up bits of my body I'm not so keen on (helloooo wobbly arms and bum) and to keep cosy. I love the print and colour palette of this, and the belt just gives it that little extra!

4. I've always been a fan of chelsea boots, but have always been scared by these heeled types... being pretty tall as well as clumsy doesn't half make it hard to walk in heels, of any height! These  ones from Missguided look like they'd be pretty comfortable and easy though with the platform which I am loving. I think I'd pair these with something like the skirt, again to give it a bit of an edge.

5. Ahhhhhh, lipstick. It seems so long since I bought yet another addition to my quickly growing lip collection (in reality it's probably been about 2 weeks...) and this may definitely have to end that. Topshop's Rio Rio looks to be a gorgeous bright red, a colour I love to wear on my lips, but don't enough!

Who else is suffering with the exam blues? What's on your wishlist this weekend?

A little explanation

So you may or may not have noticed that I've been a little quiet on the blogging front as of late... One word: EXAMS. I've not been forgetting you guys, I've just been super busy trying my hardest not to procrastinate, which is super hard when all I want to do is beat the next level on a certain game *ahem* Candy Crush *ahem*.

But yeah, I'm one down.. two more to go, and I've been revising like a mad woman. Doesn't help that I've not been able to sleep, I'm constantly high on coffee at the minute. Me + exams = BAD. Very bad. I'm a worrier, and around exam time that worry turns into panic. Not good!

Anyway, enough rambling.. back to the point. I won't be blogging as often the next couple of weeks. As hard as it is, revision has to be my priority, and I'm sure you'll understand! I'll of course try and get a couple of posts in here and there but I'm afraid it'll be a little quiet on here for the next week and counting. Just thought I'd let you lovelies know!

I'll be back before you know it. Have any of you guys got exams? How are they going?

Weekend Wishlist #2

Untitled
1. Shirt 2. Jeans 3. Blazer 4. Ring 5. Shoes

As I posted earlier in the week, I started interning last week as a marketing trainee and that can only mean one thing.. New clothes! I've found myself lusting after slightly smarter, classic pieces this week to fit in with my new job but that I can also dress down and wear time and time again! I thought I'd shape it into a little outfit to give you an idea of something I might wear on a day in the office!

1. This shirt is just beautiful. I don't think I actually own a white shirt, so this is a definite must, surely!? It has the most gorgeous crochet flower detailing which makes it perfect for summer and just gives it a little edge.

2. Everyone and their dog has been talking about the Topshop Joni Jeans, many likening them to the American Apparel Easy Jeans. I haven't tried either so am intrigued by the cheaper of the two (student coming through!) to see how they compare to my Leigh jeans. I hear these have a super high waist, which would be perfect for me and would hopefully pull all my wobbly bits in!

3. I don't actually own many blazers, but I think they are perfect for the workplace as well as just out and about if you prefer to dress it down. This bright red one from River Island would give a lovely pop of colour to a more monochrome outfit, and would smarten the outfit up slightly making it more suitable for work!

4. I just had to include this ring. I've always had a thing for hearts and have several heart shaped pieces of jewellery, and even a tattoo (I think it's something to do with my surname... 'Hart' geddit!?). It looks super dainty and would just be perfect for me.

5. Finally, shoes, and these babies... I have no words. I first spotted them instore a few weeks ago but sod's law I was skint. Now I've got my loan, I've not been able to get in town to get these home (typical!) so I'm hoping they don't sell out! The coral shade is always big for summer, and I feel it can be worn with almost anything. And the heel? Perfect. I'm not usually a big heel kinda gal, I'm fairly tall anyway and being slightly clumsy we don't usually mix too well, but these look easy enough to walk in and are just the right height! I NEED these in my life pronto!

What's on your wishlist at the moment? Do you like or have you got any of my picks?

Interning: Day 01

I've never really spoken about what I do at university or anything of the sort on here before, but I thought now would be as good a time as any. I'm a second year student studying Marketing, and worrying about finding a job at the end of it all. Will it be worth it? Will there be anything for me or will I be stuck with my part time job forever!? Worrying aside, whilst it's not compulsory for me to do a placement of any sort as part of my course, I thought that doing so will potentially increase my chances of getting hired at the end of my degree; it's something I can put on my CV and I will have experience, taking pressure off any potential employers who wouldn't have to put me through as much training depending on what it is I eventually end up doing!

After month's of searching with no luck, I finally came across a vacancy not so far from home. After applying and eventually being interviewed, I got the place! And so now I am a Marketing Trainee at the lovely Bri-Tek Technologies, an LED lighting company determined to reduce our carbon footprint by replacing ordinary bulbs with more efficient, energy saving ones. Whilst it wasn't the kind of company I originally saw myself working for (a girl who loves all things fashion and beauty in a warehouse based business!?) I'm really surprised how well I fit and how excited I was to start. Anyway, enough rambling, I'll get to it!

My little work space! (Taken on mobile, sorry for the terrible quality!)
Today was my first day, and I was super nervous to start. My incredible Grandad drove me there as I was worried about getting lost on the buses (trust me, it'd  happen) and I didn't have access to the car! After meeting up with the lovely Zack who interviewed me and who I'll be working with, as well as having a mini tour of my new workplace, I was straight to work!

The picture above shows my lovely little work space (the picture totally doesn't do it any justice), complete with a Mac and music playing to boot! Super exciting. The morning consisted of me researching the latest trends that we could relate to the company, and potential ideas for articles for our blog page over on the website, which at first was a little tedious trying to find the right kind of data, but once I got going there was no stopping me, I was completely into it.

After being to treated to lunch (ohhhh the perks of being the new girl!) it was back to work, this time I got to actually write an article that would be featured on the page, something I didn't anticipate so early on! With a little read through from Zack and being taught how to put it online (very complicated, damn you html) my article was actually posted on the website! Call me a loser, but I was super excited about this. If you're interested, you can read it here! Mine is the top one :)

I think I've rambled on enough, but I enjoyed today so much that I thought I would share it with you lovelies! I'm back in for day #2 on Friday!

Have any of you ever interned? What was your experience like? Would you like to hear more about my internship and experience? Don't worry, I won't be documenting everything, only the interesting bits!

Birchbox: April 2013

Another month, another beauty box; this time it's Birchbox! Despite never posting about them before, I've been a subscriber to Birchbox, formerly Joliebox for well over a year now. Shocking, I know. So, whilst I'm trying to get my blog up and running, good and proper, I thought I'd share with you my thoughts on this month's products. Apologies in advance for the slightly dodgy lighting, the sun just couldn't make it's mind up whether to stay in or out!

This month's box is all about embracing a brighter outlook, ready for when Spring finally decides to show itself! The magazine cover showcased a gorgeous  pink blossom-type flower, perfectly matching the 'in bloom' theme of the box (sorry, I couldn't find mine hence no picture of it #badblogger). Onto the products:

This is enriched with plenty of antioxidants and has even been dubbed as a hero serum for retaining a youthful appearance. I'm not too sure why this is in my box, being twenty I feel a wee bit young to begin using this type of product yet, and with the use of beauty profiles I would've thought the product would have been better tailored to suit it. However, I am intrigued and may give this a go in order to keep my youthful glow... That or I'll pass it on to Momma Hart ;)

Can I just say, how beautiful is this packaging?! There's something quite oriental and retro about it, I love it. The soap itself has quite a strong scent, not something I'd pick for myself but it is quite lovely. I'm not sure this will get used as we prefer liquid soap in our house, these types always tend to make a mess.. but I may well pop it into my drawers to make them smell nice!

Another product not too dissimilar from the Clinique Chubby Sticks, but in a slimmer, less easy to use form - this one needs to be sharpen when it goes blunt rather than be wound up. Nevertheless, it's something I'll definitely use. I love a good lip product. I got the shade '14. Perfect Kiss', which is a lovely deep rosey pink shade. It has a lovely smell and quite a shimmery finish, something I don't usually go for, but it's definitely wearable!

With celebrity fans such as the one and only Victoria Beckham and Adele, this definitely looks promising. Skin Food is said to be a nourishing and hydrating treatment for the whole body, and as someone who suffers with severe dryness from time to time I think this sample will be gone in no time!

Natio has always been a brand I've been interested in trying out, mostly due to its pure and natural products. This cleanser is no different; it's completely soap free and has a neutral PH to prevent stripping essential moisture from the skin. Again, I tend to suffer from dry patches on my face, mostly around my nose and cheeks, and a lot of cleansers seem to make this worse so I'm looking forward to testing this out!

Birchbox | Paname Paris Mirror
As this month's little extra, Birchbox have added this wee little mirror. The design is super cute and it's perfect for carrying around for any touchups, the only downside being that as it's not compact it will more than likely get scratched from ending up at the bottom of my bag, so I'll have to take care of it!

Overall I'm pretty pleased with this months box, I wouldn't say I'm overwhelmed, but there's a nice variety of products, the majority of which will be put to good use.

What do you think of this months Birchbox? Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? If you'd like to see any of this month's products reviewed let me know!

Weekend Wishlist #1 feat. Chi Chi

If you're part of the e-tail PR blogging community then you may well already know about their monthly exlusive blogger competitions. This month they have teamed up with the incredible Chi Chi to give one lucky winner £200 to spend on their gorgeous dresses. All you have to do is browse their lovely website and pick your favourites, then putting them into a wishlist style post! For more information on this competition see here.Chi Chi Clothing
L-R: 1. Jakinda 2. Dalila 3. Alejandra 4. Pabla

1. The Jakinda dress is a gorgeous slightly different version of the LBD; black lace with a mint green underlay peeking through. Subtle but sexy, this would be perfect for any kind of occasion, or, if styled correctly even work!

2. I really love the peplum trend, it's a classic and figure flattering shape, and the Dalila dress gives it a more modern twist with its diamante embroidered bodice. The nude shade makes it perfect for summer, but be careful you pale gals like me.. It may be best to give yourself a bit more colour before wearing or else you might look naked! *giggles*

3. Another LBD, this time a cute and flirty style. The cross bust and floaty skirt give it a somewhat retro feel, yet the bow detailing on the shoulders bring it right back up to date!

4. As much as I love all of these dresses, I think this might just have to be my favourite. Words just can't describe how I feel about this dress... Skater style, lace top, cut out back? Perfection! It all seems very Holly Willoughby-esque, and who wouldn't want to be like her?!

What's on your wishlist this weekend? Will you be entering the competition?

FOTD #1: Precious Metals

Today was such a gorgeous day, the sun was shining.. it was even fairly warm, who'd have thought, eh? Especially after all the rubbish weather we've had here in the UK recently. Anyway, enough jabbering, and onto the point I'm  dilly dallying around! Now, because I'm a sucker for make up  it was such a lovely day, I was in the mood for a little play around with my cosmetics and this, my lovelies, was the result!

I started off by putting a pump of foundation onto the back of my hand then mixing in a small amount of Hocus Focus, a 'visual flaw-softening lotion' that can be used alone as a highlighter or mixed in with your moisturiser/foundation. I then dotted this all over my face and blended using the buffing brush. Next up I used Solar Powder to add a bit of shape to my face and followed it with a pop of colour to my cheekbones in the form of Rimmel's Santa Rose, a gorgeous pinky nude shade with a hint of corally shimmer.

My brows are really annoying me at the moment; one day I love them, the next I hate them. Today was the latter, so I put my no fuss routine into use by picking the medium brown shade from my brow kit to fill in any sparse areas.

I wanted this look to be all about the eyes, so went for something a little more daring than my usual one shade slapdash kinda look. Using the MUA palette, I started off by using a pale pinky champagne colour all over my lid (top row fourth along) followed by a generous layering of a gorgeous gold shade(third along). To create a bit of dimension I then went on to use the copper in the palette (second along) in the outer third of my eye and through the socket line, blending as I went. I then went back over with the first shade I used to blend out a little more and tidy up any places I may have been a bit messy! To finish the eyes I curled my lashes and applied a couple of coats of my trusty L'Oreal Telescopic mascara.

If you know me, you'll know lipstick is my thang so I couldn't resist using this gorgeous corraly red colour from Vivo. Summer perfection!

Et voila! There we have it! What do you think of this look? What are your picks this Spring?

NOTD: Bleu Canard

Those of you who follow me on Twitter (@sundaisyblog) may well already know the little dilemma I had earlier.. What colour should I paint my nails!? I know, I know #girlproblems and all that. After a couple of hours deliberation - yes, my nail varnish collection really is that vast (that and the fact I'm absolutely rubbish at making decisions)! - I came across this little number.

Maybelline Express Finish in Bleu Canard (865) is a gorgeous peacock-like turquoise green with a subtle shimmer running throughout. Application was made easy by the flat brush (sorry guys, forgot to get a picture of it!) and the quick drying formula. The bottle boasts a drying time of 40 seconds and I can tell you  it did in fact dry pretty darn quickly compared to others in my collection, a quality us fidgety gals lust after in a polish. Whilst the initial application was slightly streaky, it became opaque and perfect by the second.

Sadly, I have a feeling this shade has been discontinued, but I believe it can be found on the likes of Amazon and the usual culprits!

What's your NOTD? Have you tried any of the Maybelline Express Finish polishes?

A little about me!

I don't think I've ever really gone into much detail about myself or my life on here (not that I've had much chance with my lack of posting!), so I thought I'd come out of my shell a little and let you lovelies get to know me a bit better, if that's okay with you of course!

I'm led to believe this was a tag at some point, maybe it still is, but I'm so out of the loop I have no idea, so this can just be a little nosey into a few facts about me. I was initially going to hop on the '50 facts about me' bandwagon, but I'm useless when put on the spot so figured these questions would guide me..

Anyway, enough babbling for now. Off we go!

1. Do you have a middle name?
I do indeed, it's Ann after my Grandma!

2. What's your favourite subject in school?
School seems so long ago.. I never actually liked school really, if I had to pick I'd say business, as that's what led me to Marketing which I'm currently loving studying at university.

3. What's your favourite drink?
Diet Coke, I could drink it all day! I also love green tea.

4. What's your favourite song at the moment?
I'm love love loving Justin Timberlake - Mirrors. He has got to be the smoothest man alive... Am I right or am I right!? I also quite like Bastille - Pompeii.

5. What would you name your children?
I honestly have no idea, I'm the worst at making even the smallest of decisions, never mind something like that!

6. Do you participate in any sports?
Not particularly. I've always danced, but I hardly have the time any more.

7. What's your favourite book?

The Harry Potter books will always have a place in my heart, I grew up with them and absolutely loved them, still do. More recently I read The Silver Linings Playbook, which I thought was incredible. I read too much to have a constant favourite!

8. What's your favourite colour?
I love orange and turquoise mainly.

9. What's your favourite animal?Dogs, I love my two babies!

10. What's your favourite perfume?
It depends what kind of mood I'm in, but I guess overall it'd be between Paco Rabanne Lady Million and Thierry Mugler Alien. Both smell bloody amazing.

11. What's your favourite holiday?
Quite probably the two I went on last year... The first was the first time me and the boy had been away together, and we had a complete blast. The second was a trip to Lanzarote which was equally as fabulous, scorching weather, it was just amazing.. there are no words!

12. Have you graduated from High School?
We don't graduate from school in England, I'll be graduating from university next year though! Eeeep.

13. Have you been out of the country?
I have yes, but I always feel like I've not been to many places.. Spain, Portugal, Lanzarote and France for actual holidays. And then there's been Italy and I'm sure somewhere else in passing with flights and crap.

14. Do you speak any other languages?
Not fluently, no. Although I like to kid myself into thinking I can speak Spanish.

15. Do you have any siblings?
Yeah, I have a younger brother who's sixteen and a bugger!

16. What's your favourite store?
I like different ones for different reasons! Primark for the amazing prices, Topshop for the amazing clothes and Boots for the amazing makeup!?

17. What's your favourite restaurant?
I love Italian, so anywhere that does good pasta! I also love Spice Valley, a gorgeous Indian restaurant. And then there's our little local Chinese... Too much choice!

18. Do you like school?
Nooooooo.

19. Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?

beautycrush
ghostparties
ViviannaDoesMakeup
essiebutton
Katie Snooks
meganisobel

20. What's your favourite movie?
Another hard question! The Dark Knight Rises was awesome, I loved that. There's plenty more but that's one off the top of my head.

21. What are some of your favourite TV shows?
Sex and the City, New Girl, Modern Family, Revenge

22. PC or Mac?
Can't really compare as I've only ever had PC!

23. What phone do you have?
HTC Wildfire, or as I like to call it.. The HTC Shitfire. In serious need of a new phone, and the boy bless him has offered me his Windows one! Ooo fancy.

Revamp

Hey there my lovelies, it's been a while! I've been doing a lot of thinking as of later, and I've got to say, I'm not happy with myself for letting this little place go... I was so excited at the thought of starting blogging last year when I eventually decided to set my own up, but my posts have been inconsistent and very far between ever since. Sadly it's not due to how exciting my life is, it's that darn place called university where young people alike go to die. Yes, I'm feeling the stress of exams right now. Second year is such a drag! Anyhooo, with exams coming in rather soon and the excitement of having a super long summer break is looming, I've decided to give this place another go (procrastination much?) - fingers crossed I'll bloody keep it up this time!

This is so me, every single time! (Image taken from: http://imgfave.com/view/1757202)

Loyal readers, you babes you, may have noticed a couple of changes... First up is the name; glitter cave has gone, say hello to it's younger sister sundaisy! Whilst I can't deny, I love me some glitter, I feel the name change is just so much more me. It may seem a load of nonsense to some of you, but it really captures what I'm about and reminds me of who I am if ever I get a little lost (look at me getting all sentimental, that can come another time!)
Secondly is the content.. Be gone samey, boring posts posted pretty damn sporadically. Rachel's gonna get all organised on your ass! I won't lie, a lot of the posts will more than likely still be based around fashion and beauty, but I'm going to show you all the reaaaaaal me! Cue geeky snipbits and 'days in the life of'... or should that be 'daisy the life of' ;) Oh, why am I so hilarious?

So basically, in a TL;DR situation.. there have been and will be further changes around here. It's time for a revamp!

What do you think of the changes so far? Any feedback or suggestions would be grand!

Friday's Fragrance #1: Zara Woman - Cherry

Hello beauties, I've got a new feature for you today; Friday's Fragrance! I'm not yet sure how often I'll be doing these kind of posts as my funds are rather lacking and my perfume collection is a little on the small side but hey ho, it's all a bit of fun. This week I've chosen the rather lovely Cherry by Zara.

After receiving this as a wee stocking filler over Christmas I am yet to find much I don't like about it. Described as an aromatic, fruity fragrance, Cherry's top notes are cherry (shocker, I know!) and plum, followed by middle notes of mandarin, orange and pear and finished off with base notes of vanilla and sandalwood. This is very much a fruity, fresh scent and incredibly girly; something possibly more suited to those long, hot summer days we're dreaming of.

The only downside I can find is the wear time. As it's an eau de toilette, I wasn't expecting miracles however I was slightly disappointed after spritzing myself thoroughly and then trying to remember if I'd actually put anything on ten minutes or so down the line! Nonetheless, Zara Cherry is a beautiful, light fragrance maybe best suited as a quick freshen up rather than something you'd wear on a night out  or that you'd need to last.

Have you tried any perfumes by Zara? Next up on my wishlist is Black Peony, apparently a dupe for the coveted Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb!
